closely based on H.P.Lovecraft style of wrighting sam neill is fantastic as always. the story is fantastic and mind bending the ending is great and very trippy WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

To enjoy a movie of this calibre, one has to have a strong suspension of disbelief, one has to have a vivid imagination, and one must be intelligent enough to be able to process and extrapolate the underlying concept of the movie that makes it so frightening:
Reality is the product of the consensus of belief/perception among the participants...what if the world of H.P.Lovecraft's horrific vision were to gradually BECOME reality?
Now you're stepping into the world of "In The Mouth Of Madness."

This was one of the most dumbest, stupidest, idiotic movies I've ever seen! I shut if off 1/2 way through. How it ever got a 3 1/2 rating--is so incomprehensible! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
