This is still a cute movie, rented for my granddaughter but she is still kind of young so when we could keep her still long enough she watched it. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

AWESOME Casting and TREMENDOUS Voice-Overs! The A-list of actors (Culkin, Lloyd, Goldberg, Stewart, Nimoy) really come through in this film and make it fun to watch--even for adults, who know them from their more mature work. Admittedly, the concept it pretty cheesy (a kid is magically swept into the world of books), and the conclusion is undeniably predictable. Nonetheless, the climax was gripping (even for me) and was a satisfying peak (pun unintended). I didn't find it particularly empowering, but, then again, I am not a ten-year-old boy with a fear of thunderstorms, heights, and (youfillintheblank). Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
