It's not for people who have expectations that movies be conventional or entertaining or quick or familiar. It's long, and moves at its own pace and cadence. That said, I enjoyed it a lot. I found the stories and the characters engaging, the acting good, the direction very good. What really struck me was the finesse and lightness in the timing of the scenes. No scene ever lingered, or got stale. The movie both moved at a good clip and had a stable serenity at the same time.
If you love movies for their own sake, and not for meeting your expectations, this should be on your list. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Ultimately, the ending of the movie had an interesting message, what one would expect from a Robert Altman film. This movie is for those who like "thinking" films. Whether artist or blue-collar, the characters bounce through life thrown from bumper to bumper. Finally they all tilt. Typical Altman. Long but rich film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
