The first ROTLD is a masterpiece (in my genre-loving opinion) and the second one is pretty good too (in a cheesy-slapstick kind of way). This one is horrible, and things just get worse in parts 4 & 5. Rent the first one if you haven't seen it. It's a must see for any horror fan.

Not the greatest either. ROTLD 3 is way off the mark from the first 2 films, and keeps the zombies at a minimum as it focuses more on the militaries use of the living dead as bio-weapon. Still watchable. This from a zombie fan. Now the really sucky part. Although it is listed as UNRATED... This is the R- Cut of the film. The UNRATED cut is only available on VHS, Lion's Gate goofed up the DVD master.

I remember seeing this movie about 10 years ago and thinking that it was terrible. I decided to give it another chance recently thinking that 10 additional years of maturity would give me a new appreciation of this film. WRONG! This is the worst zombie film ever made, and one of the worst horror films ever released. The fact that this remained in print for so long while the original "Return of the Living Dead" was out of print was one of the greatest sins in human history. Let's get this straight, just for the record: ZOMBIES DON'T THINK, THEY EAT. ZOMBIES CAN'T BE REASONED WITH. ZOMBIES DON'T HAVE FEELINGS. This movie isn't even "good" bad, or funny bad, it's just terrible in every way. Brian Yuzna, what happened? You were brilliant as the director of RE-ANIMIATOR. Oh well.
