Day of the Dead, the third and concluding chapter in George Romero's zombie trilogy is the most distinctly 1950s-style science fiction version of the lot. Set in Florida, as the film begins the dead have taken over the world, outnumbering humans 400,000 to one. The handful of surviving humans have taken refuge in an underground missile silo and argue and yell at each other like players in a Rod Serling Twilight Zone episode. Among the survivors are Sarah (Lori Cardille) -- a scientist who is trying to reverse the process whereby the dead turn into flesh-eating, irrational zombies -- and Dr. Logan (Richard Liberty) -- an out-of-his-mind psychologist who wants to capture the zombies and turn them into domestic help. Things heat up when the military tries to take over the scientific experiments. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

day of the dead is a really good zombie movie. It has a good story very good acting and very very real looking gore. Like this one seen were this guy gets his arm cut of it looks so real. and he is walking around with half an arm its sweet. get this film if you love zombie movies.

Tom Cruise can't act as good as the no-names in this one! a crowd pleaser for fans of the genre. If you don't like gore, catch it edited on sci-fi channel.

The best!!!! Romero is the man!! Survivors of a zombie apocolypse take refuge in an underground base and attempt to resolve the zombie epidemic. One group, the doctors, want to learn and cure, the other group, the soldiers, want to "See those walking bags of puss fall over!!". A must see!

A must see for any zombie fan, special effects will appeal to any Gore Hound. While not as good as Dawn of the dead due to the fact there are too many lengthy argument scenes. But definitely a good cap to Romero's Dead series.

My personal favorite of Romero's zombie films, this is easily recommended for all zombie genre fans, and horror fans as well. A lot of people don't like the screaming and talking parts, but if you listen carefully at what they say,you might find that some are true even in today's world.

This movie is very enjoyable if you like zombie movies, and this is Tom Savini at his best folks. This might be one of the goriest films ever. The underground military base makes for a creepy atmosphere with the dark tunnels, but I wish more of it was filmed outside like it's title would lead you to believe. Nonetheless, this is a great movie.

God awful. Story line and arc of the hero not well structured. Some of the acting wow. I thought the best acting was by the Zombies.. I could relate to them. But, who can be afraid of Zombies that can't climb a fence?

This is a good B movie. It is smarter than the two previous Dead films before it, with a lot of metaphors and references to human nature. However, it lacks the horror and creepiness of the original but is definitely much less corny than Dawn of the Dead. It also has better make-up and gore effects than the previous two films. A decent and fun B movie for fans of the genre.

We didn't realize that this is ONLY the bonus disc and does not contain the actual movie. Of course it's full of great behind-the-scenes. So if you are a big fan of the trilogy, and almost anyone who would sit through these movies is a big fan, then you're bound to enjoy the material on this disc. Just don't set yourself up for the disappointment that we had.

This movie is hard to explain, funny and gross at the same time. There are some classic lines in this movie, that you wouldn't think of hearing back in 1985. Fun flick to watch with friends.
