After the Home Alone craze, it was good to see Macaulay playing the an evil blond. And after almost fifteen years, the ending is still a shocker.

This movie offers a beautiful panoramic setting but a bit perilous to have preteens running around unsupervised, in my opinion. But this, of course, is what adds to the suspense to this movie. Macaulay Culkin’s character is a bit too evil for his age for my taste. If you just like suspense you will like this movie.

The son in this movie acts as if he is thirty years old rather then a child. The boys family is dumber than dumb. It was a very frusterating movie for me because i couldn't relate to any of the characters. My fourteen year old daughter enjoyed the movie and so did her friends, but I think dragged on for too long.
