It's even funnier than Blazing Saddles -- and I enjoyed the frequent puns (or "plays on words") that were thrown-in this film. If you're looking for a movie with 'lots of laughs', then I would highly recommend renting this one; it won't let you down! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More As someone else said casting Bridges, Nielson, Graves and Stack in their respective parts made it so much funnier. And Casting Barbara Billingsley (Mrs Cleaver) as the jive interpreter was a stroke of genius.I first saw it in 1980 and it was groundbreaking. Every time I see it I catch something else. My 15 year son saw it last week and laughed out loud many times. I later explained some of the dated parts, old movies being spoofed etc, but he still loved it. Years ago I was at the Phoenix Open golf tournament and Leslie Nielson was playing in the Pro-Am.. He was lining up a put and I shouted out "I just want you to know, we're all counting on you". He started laughing as did the crowd. Great Movie.
Light reading, how about the leaflet on famous Jewish sports legends? The funny thing is, they nailed everyone. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Rather immature humor to some, but I loved it. The funniest scene had to be when Robert Stack was driving to the airport and he ran into that bicyclist! I was out-of-breath, ROLFLMAO! This movie inspired a very funny, short lived TV show (one of my favorites) called Police Squad! Now if we could just get that show on DVD and available at BB Online!
