Admittedly, not very high brow entertainment. But, as a sendup of Beach Movies of the era, I enjoyed it a lot. The contrast in beach fashion then and now is lots of fun to study. If you watch it for that,and the offbeat humor, it is an achievement. Not spectacular, but good. Google...I read a little history about the movie before watching it, that helped me appreciate that it was groundbreaking for it's time. Most of all, Tuesday Weld is always fun to see in any movie. And Playboy conterfold Jo Collins is eye candy for the ages.

What an odd movie. I admire it's original approach, but I found Roddy McDowall irritating. His presence in the film prevented me from enjoying it as much as I would have if he wasn't in it. Ruth Gordon is terrific though.
