This movie never ceases to amaze me. Every time I veiw it I draw more inspiration and see the good in humanity. I also makes me reflect on how far we have come on our moral compass.

This movie is the best movie ever made because it shows how hard you work before you go and run in a marathon!

A three hour movie about runners is REALLY boring, but this one is worth it, so hang in there.

Introduced this movie to my kids and they both really liked it...gave us some good discussion about the importance of standing up for what you believe, especially as a Christian. The acting was excellent, scenery and costumes beautiful. The background music by Vangelis was great for the opening/closing scene of the guys running on the beach but was distracting and conflicting at times for the period piece...better suited for a movie about runners in the 80s. Overall, though, this is one stand-out movie for any era.

Very few heroes today seem to be true heroes. Eric Liddell lives his faith. He was a hero! I kept the captions on to understand the accents, then enjoyed the flow of the movie. It's rather like drifting downstream in a canoe on a lovely day singing your favorite song. If you enjoy drifting and singing, you'll love it, as I did. But if you're looking for motorboats and explosions, you may find it a bit slow. I'm also a Terminator fan, but be warned, this is no Terminator movie. Deeply satisfying on a whole different level.

A wonderful character study on a man of God, who's steadfast beliefs would not even consider running on the Sabbath day - even for the race of a lifetime. Such character and moral conviction is HARDLY seen today in our world....I think that's what attracted me MOST about this movie - was seeing a REAL man of honor. Nice soundtrack, too !
