An alcoholic novelist (Morgan Freeman) attempts to recapture his creativity by renting a cabin on a small island, and he strikes up a tender friendship with the single mother (Virginia Madsen) who lives next door in this bittersweet comedy-drama from director Rob Reiner. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
A+ acting; A+ story line; A+ Morals of uplifting others less fortunate than ourselves. Morgan hardly ever diss-appoints us and this is no exception. The three young girls in the movie play a significant role in promoting the imagination and free spirit of love and understanding. I plan to buy this movie and keep it my collection right next to Murphy s Romance and Shawdowlands.
While no movie is "perfect" this one is so close. It is a truly "feel good" type of movie. It just goes to show you don't need all that trash to create good quality viewing.
