Unlike the online review suggests, this movie is much more than a sweet MGM kid film. The film starts with the relationship between Murphy and Astor, planning their dreams, that are changed by the arrival of the daughter who is very ill most of the time. They shelter her and allow themselves to be brow-beaten until their daughter shows them what it means to fight for life. Great performances by all. Definitely worth watching!
