This movie is an all time classic. Everyone should see this movie at one point in their life. Only one question, why is it always raining or foggy in the desert?

Old movies are not my movies. They bug me, with their macho leading men and their vulnerable, "helpless" women, along with their annoying soundtracks and sad action scenes. Luckliy, this was the first Bogart movie I've seen. It is supposed to be one of the defining classic movies, and besides, IMDb has it rated high. And while it pales in comparison to some of today's filmmaking (or else I'm spoiled), it shines as an excellent classic. Ingrid Bergman is one the few women who didn't settle for the vulnerabilty, and Bogie, well, he's all the legend that I've ever heard he was. Some parts drag, but most scenes will be worth your time. There's even some famous quotes to tide you over. It's no Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster in the sense of awe-inspiring visuals, but it's a film that should be seen.

I adore any movie with Claude Rains in it! While Mr. Skeffington (with Bette Davis) is a wonderful performance, Casablanca has to be the best display of Rains' magnificent acting ability. He literally steals every scene that he is in, and with heavy hitters like Bogart and Bergman, that's saying a great deal.

I cannot believe how long it took me to finally watch this, it being a classic and all! And to not have anyone blow the whole suprise thing too. Take it for what it is, one of the 1st movie love stories of its time. Don't go in expecting it to be a movie of our time. I loved it, and it didnt drag on like Gone with the Wind. That one I was disappointed in. Would I want to watch it over and over, no. But worth a rent! So, Play it again Sam!

I saw the movie for the first time last weekend and I loved it. I'm generally don't gravitate towards older movies but I'm glad I did. I was very impressed by the depth of the story and the amazing backdrop of the movie. The extras included with the DVD were amazing with great commentary by Roger Ebert. I have a very small DVD collection mostly consisting on Sci-fi and action but I will be adding this to my collection very soon.

One of the classic of all time. I never get tired of seeing it from time to time. It is full of all the old cliches and lines. Its one you can never tire of.
