Movie is different from the novel, its good, but slow. I enjoyed the movie.

Entertaining but so full of improbable acting, exaggerated lust and greed it seems too contrived.

Not my favorite movie. Too much like Krantz's Mistral's Daughter, but not as compelling. Lots of physical attraction to everyone by everyone, which distracts from any storyline.
