Originally released as part of the feature Fun and Fancy Free, Mickey and the Beanstalk is the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk," with the role of Jack split into three and played by Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. To save Happy Valley from extinction, our heroes must rescue the singing harp (voiced by Edgar Bergen's radio-show vocalist Anita Gordon) from a selfish giant (a hilarious voiceover portrayal by "sneeze expert" Billy Gilbert). If you are looking for the 1947 movie, this is not it! Portions have been edited out to make room for learning situations. My son LOVES the book, but this was nowhere close to it!!!

I didn't realize this was the "learning adventure" edition of mickey and the beanstalk. Turned out to be an added bonus. The movie stops every 5 minutes or so and asks the kids to answer questions (such as counting or comparing sizes). Once you have gone through the story once with the questions it plays it again all the way through with no interruptions. So, even if you don't want the questions, you can skip to chapter 7 and just watch the movie. My 2.5 year old liked it quite a bit.
