Nearly a year after the vampire siege of Barstow, Alaska, lone survivor Stella (Kiele Sanchez) discovers that she isn't alone when she's recruited to eradicate the vampire menace once and for all. Her waking hours filled mourning the death of her late husband and her dreams haunted by visions of the creatures that turned him into a monster, Stella becomes the subject of much ridicule when she makes it her mission to convince the public that vampires truly exist. But just as the embarrassment is becoming too much to handle, three strangers (Harold Perrineau, Diora Baird and Rhys Coiro) present Stella with an opportunity to seek revenge by killing Lilith (Mia Kirshner), the vampire queen behind the Barstow massacre. Armed to the teeth and ready to die fighting, the brave quartet descends into the sewers beneath Los Angeles and begins their search for the elusive Lilith. But should she manage to find them first, the vampires will once again gain the upper hand. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
While I find myself a little disappointed at the recasting of Melissa George's character from the original, I thought this film was well conceived and written. There are thrills and suspense a plenty, and while the title is redundant, the story is fresh and engrossing. Mia Kirshner gives a haunting performance as the brains behind the bloodsuckers. I will say that I didn't care for the ending, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the rest of the film.
I liked the first one so got this without thinking. This movie sucked... Terrible plot just a B movie all the way. I like the actors but the budget was obviously low on this one.
The 2nd film goes along with the series of books... Ya know the ones that the movies follow? Yeah so anyways the production companies are doing their best to put out the movies to the books right now, and I give them a hand with the way the economy has everyone frozen. Enjoy... And go get some Steve Niles books while your at it.
This was a good if not almost great sequel to the original. The overall feel was of a quality vampire movie. Just not sure about the killing vampires with guns.
Grieving for her dead husband, Stella craves revenge. With the aid of some eccentric vampire hunters, Stella travels to Los Angeles to stalk Lilith, the dangerous queen vampire responsible for the attack on Barrow. this sequel to 30 Days of Night.
