Timothy Bottoms and C. Thomas Howell headline this feature adaption of Edgar Rice Burrough's classic tale. When the survivors of a shipwreck become stranded on an mysterious island inhabited by dinosaurs, they must struggle to outrun and outsmart the prehistoric predators. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
I liked it. I think they played the T-Rex too long and made it too much about dinosaurs and not enough time travel. I would have liked to see a bit more focus on different animals rather than the T-Rex it felt like jurrasic park. And a sea monseter should have gotten the boat when the 2 island veterans took off in it. But overall decent.
Is this movie good? Well, for lack of better words it was rather decent. The concept is interesting, it deals with people from different time periods who find themselves stuck on an isolated island inhabitated by dinosaurs. It is, without a doubt, a neat, little movie to check out.
The Land that Time Forgot was one of C. Thomas Howell's best performances! The special effects coupled with an all-star cast brought a level of sustainability to the film that is sure to keep the movie goers coming back for more for a very long time. Howell ingeniously interwove drama and suspense and a touch of horror within a plot that ended as a tear jerker!! Well done Howell!
of "The Land that Time Forgot"(based on an edgar rice burroughs novel).I found this film to be slightly slow at times but entertained me enough to enjoy the movie all the way through.
The special affects really weren't that good, and the acting was a little strange. A few of the actors did a decent job. Others didn't. I will be curious to see other reviews. Am I being too picky?
We watched the first 30 minutes then turned it off because it just wasn't going to get any better. Horrible acting and the special effects were just bad.
