I rented this for my kids so they could see what "Breakin" was. They enjoyed the moves, the acting was just awful. But, it was enjoyable to see how breakin' could get anyone's attention then and still does. Plus you get to laugh at the fashion back then. Not the dancers so much, but the geeks on the beach.

Outstanding dancing, but like most reviewers I agree that the acting was weak. I loved the movie back-in-the-day, and I'm amazed at how I (and my children) enjoy the movie equally today. A good, clean, fun film, what more can you say.

I watched the movie when I was very young. Through the eyes of a child it was awesome. I still watch the movie with those same eyes. This is my all time favorite movie. The dancing still is cool to me.

This movie is the era I grew up in. I miss the way the world was. We just danced to get through the day and men did not mind working for a living. I have watched this movie at least 100 times. Yes the acting is bad and it is low budget. But that is simply because no one is willing to INVEST large amounts of money into a movie that is geared towards the low class. But we can appreciate that someone donated something to bring a very classic culture to life. It also enables us to go back and look at how it used to be. One of the other comments stated that they had their children watch it and it gave them a reference point. I was not born in the 60s but I have seen so movies about people and periods during that time. So I can get a feel for what it was like and what was going on at that time. I really believe this movie does more to represent the culture than any other movie at that time.

First of all Crystal G. it is the 80's not 60's. I miss movies like this. This was a time when movies were innocent and just lots of fun. I really really love the soundtrack. I had a crush on "Shabba Doo". I can't wait to watch the movie again.

This is what I mean by..."Did the director get sick?" This movie is good up to a point. The first couple of dance battles were epic along with Van Damm's and ICE T's camio apperiance, but this movie falls on it's face after the last battle. It's like the director gave up and someone else took over. The feel and electricness of it all just vanished into thin air. If you want to go back in time and see what the 80's was about, at least in the eyes of the youths of that time, I recommend this movie. One more IMPORTANT thing, at least for parents, there is no cursing or nudity in this film. It seems that a lot of 80's films had to put those things in them, but not this one. You can keep you finger away from the dvd controller and enjoy.

Cheezy. Low budget. Bad acting. Mediocre dancing. Regardless, you cannot dislike it if you are a fan of this culture. Van Damme in the opening scene is hilarious! Lot's of laughs.
