Hepburn has this magical presence in this movie, soothing you through her demeanour of the chaotic, but amiable Holly. Her pursuit of her dreams, her red means, all this make you sympathize with her. Also, this movie is set in a completely different timeframe, so things seem totally different. Indeed, this movie makes me want to read the book, since the source is always better. Not having read the book, I must say this is a classical at its best. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Seriously though, it is a prototype for the subgenre of lame boy gets unpossessable woman that's too cool for him. And it's got a young waifish Audrey Hepburn. If you're a fan of hers, you'll love it. If you just think she's okay, well, that's how this movie will turn out. It's all about Audrey in this one! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Slow getting of the ground. It took a while before I realized what the characters were all about. But eventually it turns into a nice love story. Women should love it. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

If you read the book then you'd be disappointed by the movie. Of course most of the time that's the case. To it's credit, the ending was what Hollywood expected in that time frame. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
