Read More The stark images at the beginning of this film set the stage for a taught edge of the seat slide in to lawlessness and action that never materialized. I donât know what happened to Val Kilmerâs career, but it appears he has been on auto pilot for awhile now. Sharon Stone must be desperate and should be embarrassed, and who ever decided the Curtis Jackson could act has to be in his posse. To much black jive to under stand and yes they got that right. you can't understand that black jive unless you are black. every time they make a movie from new orleans the accent is wrong either they use cajun or a heavy southern drawl. when the movie makers come to new orleans to make a movie don't they talk to any people other than black from new orleans. I am not against blacks but get the white langage right also. and we new orleans people do not all talk like we are from the 9th ward, we do not all make groceries we buy them. The accents are REALLY bad, not at all like the accents in New Orleans. Couldn't tell if it was the writing or the director that made the delivery of the lines so bad, but it was pretty laughable at times.
