As a big Stargate fan I find the first episode interesting. I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep watching it. The special effects are nice and good acting. I can't quite put my finger on it but I think what bothers me is the constant non-linear storyline, the Stargate is different? and new uniforms? Also, I guess it takes practice to walk through the gate so everyone overdramatically arrived falling through to the ship. So if SG1 went through they would have stepped through admist a mess of people? Early Stargate SG1 episodes show them having a hard time at first so it kinda makes sense but didn't some of the people that went to the ship go off-world before?
