This Comedy twist to a classic is both fun and average. Movies with Jack Black you pretty much either love or hate and this movie was typical humor of his level. With a theme of love, heroism, and being true to who you are, Gulliver goes from being the scary beast to the hero of lilliput several times before finally saving the day in the end. Smaller kids would probably appreciate it a bit more. It is worth one watch however, I would say wait for the Dvd as it was not really worth the $10 I spent to see it at theater prices.

This movie is without a doubt, one of the worse movies in history ... words can't even describe how deplorable it was. Jack Black is not good as a lead actor. The movie goes from Black being this loser mailroom guy with about 1 minute of dialogue with Amanda Peet (sp?), then towards the end of the movie becoming a hero and spending about another 2 minutes on screen with her only to fall madly in love ... sounds more like a script for a bad porn flick, except without the x-rating.

This movie isone of the best movies.its a good comedy. its a nice story and good and funny actors such as Jack Black and Emily blunt.It did not really do anything in 3D but it was a very good movie. I am signed up for Gullivers travels 2!!!
