Tarantino has really outdone himself at creating a very artistic and amazingly epic film. The dialogue is clever and the tension is pulse pounding at times. The acting is all top notch with great character development. It is hard to rate this as a Tarantino film because he has definitely tried to venture into new territory with this film and has succeeded. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This movie is a bit bloody, but incredibly artistic. His use of so many different camera angles throughout the movie was impressive. The musical soundtrack is really good, too - including a wonderful new song by David Bowie. But Brad Pitt STEALS this picture - as a no-nonsense moonshine country boy from the backwoods of Tennessee, who leads a small but effective Jewish militia resistance against the Nazis. This movie featured another true storyline about one of Hitler's infamous henchmen (Josef Goebels) and his use of his filmaking propoganda during the war to inspire Nazi national pride within its own German soldiers and people. Nastassja Kinski is fabulous in this movie - and absolutely STUNNING to look at during this long, but great piece of American cinema ! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

That having been said, let me assure you that Inglourious Basterds was fantastic. Loved the movie, saw it once - will see it again. Then will rent it. Then will buy it. It was the best. Loved Christoph Waltz. Excellent performance, nearly (but not equalled) by Pitt's character "Aldo." Excellent premise, wonderful story. Wish it were so. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? I am a big fan of his work and this turned out to be a great movie. I can understand why some people would not like it either. Most of the movie was in German & French & was EXTREMELY Boring for 2 hours + in the movie. About 40 minutes was great. Although there was SO Much Talking in the movie it led up to a Great Plot & Great Ending. Bravo!!! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Normally, I create a wide berth between me and Tarantino movies, however, I made an exception this time because of Brad Pitt's involvement & the Nazi theme. QT creates yet another feature heavily soaked in gore & violence, of which I decidedly turned away from successfully. However, the plot itself is completely engaging & at times ridiculously ludicrous (another QT trademark) in its conclusions. Despite some repetitious craftsmanship, there are subtle yet definitive differences that completely drew me into the story & thus propelled me to give it a higher rating than most QT films I have endured in the past. Intriguing workmanship w/touches of maturity at least from former films, and at times even enjoyable celluloid. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Brad Pitt does great work.
The Villan Nazi Hans Landa (Jew Hunter) played by Christopher Waltz is magnificent, this man deserves an OSCAR for supportive actor. He would be the only person that could play THE JOKER in the next Batman. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This could have been made a classic, yet Tarantino decides to gore it up. In a 2 1/2 hour movie, I was bored through most, and disgusted through the other parts. It's a pointless movie that gave me a sick feeling the rest of the night. This coming from a Tarantino fan back in the day. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It's incredible how someone can make a movie and with out realizing contradict themselves completely!! If you have seen this movie, then think about this... Remember when the "Bear Jew" uses a bat and pounds on the Germans head?? I'm not sure if your theatre reacted the same way but the in the theatre I was in everyone started to laugh. Later on in the movie when they are watching "The Nations Pride", all the Nazi's are cracking up at how the German is Killing his enemy, they also think it's hilarious. So What does this say to me?? To me it seems that Tarantino is implying that we are no better then Nazi's... The same way they glorify violence so do we... Overall, I don't know if I missed something but I didn't understand what the point of the movie was... If anything I came out thinking that Tarantino was saying that Jews are no less "Blood Thirsty" and violent then Nazi's were... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I don't know why I was expecting anything better from Tarantino this time. The guy needs to see a shrink because I fear he may be criminally insane and I'm being completely serious. Mark my words, he'll be in the news one of these days exposed for the whack job that he is. If you're into his brand of trash then by all means go see this movie.
