Interesting and entertaining, and it's based on a true story. I felt really bad for the sisters having to grow up in this kind of lifestyle.

I aplaud Lori Petty for telling her story. I have heard that the script is disjointed and people didn't understand that all three girls were sisters. You have to pay atttention, the youngest girl is mentioned at the very beginning of the film. It is disjointed bc it is told from the point of view of a 14 year old girl. I thought the film was very powerful and sad, and despite the often trite phrase kids are resilient, they get over things. Kidds do not forget or forgive they just try to get beyond and often fail, hopefully this helped Lori get beyond.

Dose of reality, young generation of up coming starlets. I think that the time I spent watching it was well worth it. I recommend it for teenagers. Strong language.

It's a poorly scripted "coming of age" film. Trust me you have seen better in this genre and theme.Where a teenage girl puts up with a strange house filled with drug abuse, drinking ,mother(selma blair) who is a prostitute. She even gets raped by her mother's pimp..Might sound interesting-But the problem is the story-line plods along at a snails pace and cant even be saved by accomplished actress selma blair. Selma DOES look great in her bolnd hair but unfortunately even that aspect cant save this poorly scripted story. If you do watch this- The film doesnt even pick up interest until the LAST 20 minutes. The rest is just drivel and boredom.. But Overall- cant recommend this as a must watch by any means..I really had to work hard to muster up two stars for this film, as a realistic rating is would be just the ONE star.
