Alvin, Simon, and Theodore meet their musical match after returning to school and entering into a battle of the bands competition in hopes of saving the school's troubled music program. Sent to live with Dave Seville's younger nephew Toby (Zachary Levi), the three lovable marmots decide that getting an education is more important than belting out pop tunes. But the school's music program is about to go belly up, and the only way to save it is to win the 25,000-dollar prize in the upcoming battle of the bands. Though the Chipmunks are confident they have the songwriting skills to steamroll the competition, a newly formed singing trio dubbed the Chippettes promises to give them some stiff competition on-stage. Brittany, Eleanor, and Jeanette are indeed the real deal, and the closer the competition gets, the more Alvin, Simon, and Theodore realize that in order to win, they'll have to give it everything they've got. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

I enjoyed this movie very much! It was so cute! And had lots of scenes that can be appreciated by adults as much as the kids. Simply adorable. I highly recommend it and watch it with a kid of any age from 3 and up.

The people are painful to watch. The chipmunks are the only thing bearable about the movie.

It had it's moments, but for the most part it was not as good as the first, was sillier and dumber, and lacked a more substantial plot. They should have put more thought into the music choices.

I liked this film just about as much as I did the first one, and that's a rare thing to be able to say. I think I liked it just a teeny bit less because it was a little contrived and disingenuous but how sincerely can one really feel about cartoon characters once they've learned the truth about Santa? It was cute, clean, and my husband and I enjoyed it more than we'd really anticipated :-)

After a charity concert, Dave has an accident, so he entrust the care to his Aunt Jackie, who her self has an accident, then the Chipmunks are left with his Cousin Toby. Wanting the boys to have normal life, he enrolls them into High School. Where they are bullied, swirly, and meet some female singing Chipmunks(yes Ian I get it). The Squealquel has too many high school cliches, if Alvin did not get a big head being an Rock Star, he gets one being the worlds smallest jock. This less funny, more gross, one cheap crotch joke, and too many squeaky voices, maybe the kids will like if they don't stop paying attention.
