It does slightly favor one perspective, is a bit long, and tends to pile up the names and dates for those not completely familiar with the circumstances. But it's worth watching, because this election showed many Americans that there are flaws in our democratic process, and this docudrama sheds some very unflattering light on both parties explaining why. Read More I'm really not into political movies, especially about something usually as droll as election activities in America. However, this is a tense, well-fashioned film about a scandalous time in the election of 2000 when Bush & Gore lock horns. Great film and easy to understand and smooth, taut storyline supported by some of Hollywood's best. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I loved the drama of the whole florida election thing and still have a few VCR tapes of news coverage (lol). Was really excited to see the movie until i read these reviews and it was obvious from them that this movie was completely biased. How bout just making the movie on the facts and letting the drama of the whole affair be the entertainment. Of course not......Hey hollywood.....love your movies but leave the preaching to someone else. Just make the freakin' movies and leave your biased opinions at home. Read More This movie is very entertaining and VERY VERY biased, you can't translae this movie as a documentary because it's impossible to- plain and simple. This movie does somewhat accurately describe how the republicans stole Florida, but it's completely biased. If you're an independant like me or a democrat like Gore than you'll love this movie! If you're conservative replublicans like my parents then don't bother, it'll just make you angry unless you're open minded. I love it though! They've been playing it on HBO and I've seen it 3 times since I rented it and it still intrigues me :) Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This movie proves that politics is not for wimps and it is a very dirty business. The Republicans did a a great job in 'defending' its win and the Democrats did a lousy job of pushing for recount. The Demos had hoped that truth and justice would win the day but the Red Staters proved that brute force and intimidation always triumphs. The big loser isn't Gore who reinvented himself to become a super millionaire; it's the American people who have no clue that democracy is fading into the sunset.
