Casino Royale's Martin Campbell returns to familiar territory with this adaptation of his own 1985 BBC miniseries -- a mystery starring Mel Gibson as a detective looking into his political-activist daughter's death and uncovering layers of governmental conspiracies in the process. William Monahan (The Departed) provides the screenplay for the GK Films production, co-starring Ray Winstone and Danny Huston. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

This is a long drama thiller based movie. You will have to have a lot of patience to make it through but it is worth it. The movie is not so much an action film but the plot twists and overlapping corruption and coverups will keep you guessing the entire time. In the end, justice is served but at what cost. Worth a watch but if you can't sit still for 2 hours of a slow paced movie, I would wait and rent the DVD so you can pause for breaks.

Dark and dismal tale told in a way that keeps you on the brink..excellent role for an aging Gibson.

As Mickey Rourke's comeback with the wrestler was amazing, so was Mel Gibson with Edge of Darkness. Probably his best work since Braveheart. Hope he comes back with another thriller/drama or maybe even Mad Max!

I can't believe I was able to continue to watch this POS. There was probally three sequences of action in this long boring movie. This movie is ridiculous as Mel Gibson. Skip it.

i actually thought she was pregnant , wow never knew u can be poison that can kill u that quickly and the car accident and shooting are so crazy that actually scared me , Thomas is really sick, but i didn't see him ever touched milk? but its a action peck and sad/happy ending, Mel Gibson never lost the action, he still the same.
