Actor Craig Sheffer makes his feature directorial debut with this ensemble comedy featuring Ron Livingston, Rob Schneider, Jennifer Esposito, and Michael Clarke Duncan, and following a harried group of characters through twenty-four hours in a typical Los Angeles day. Quite a bit can happen over the course of a single day in L.A., and when smooth-talking scam artist Johnny (Livingston) decides to throw a bachelor party for his best friend Bill (Schneider) the events of the day take a decidedly bizarre turn. As the festivities get underway, the appearance of a transvestite prostitute, a trigger-happy ex-con, and a notorious porn king signal that this isn't going to be your typical night on the town. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
I found this movie similar to Resivoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction,
it had great character build up.American Crude held my attention
from beginning to end. This movie is not main stream appeal to
the masses kind of movie. It's a crude ride. Loved it
Real movie goers will appreciate the movie for being different. Along the lines of crash, but not as serious, or as well scripted. It was a good watch, and will keep you interested. Dont try to figure out the plot, I dont think it was intended to have one.
This movie is different than the average mainstream movie. It has several different stories intersecting. It is above average and had some very weird twists along the ride.
This was made with a $2 budget and it shows. It was like a train wreck, I just couldn't stop watching it for some strange reason. The movie is just terrible, and the story goes nowhere fast. Don't bother.
Yeah, like the last reviewer said. The film had mabe at MOST 10-15 minutes of good material and the REST of the 98 minutes was GARBAGE. DID this film show in the theaters? Coz if it did, and you saw it you would go straight to the theater mgr and DEMAND your money back.
A couple humorous moments but not much else going for it. Pretty much just a "throw something together" type thing to see how much money we might make.
