Read More The original Christmas Carol works because we believe that Dickens thought that Christmas is actually a good thing. I don't know what the makers of this movie actually think. So, it becomes a comedy vehicle, and there were a few good jokes. But overall, nothing great. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Kelsey Grammer was surprisingly good in a major role as Patton. Jon Voight was a perfect George Washington; I did not recognize him. James Woods had only a brief appearance as Michael "Malone" agent. Too bad, he would have been much better in a larger role as a wiretapping FBI agent. The raghead terrorists were hilarious. Bill O'Reilly as himself was nicer than he is in the real world. This has such a political slant that it apparently turns off left-wing nuts. Fortunately they have a better sense of humor than the right-wing nuts (which isn't hard because right-wing nuts have no sense of humor at all). This flick needs to be politically corrected by an American Carol II satirizing Rush Limbaugh as the Scrooge character. All you wing-nuts need to take a chill pill. Realize that Scrooge gets redeemed at the end of these Carol tales. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More In a world of mostly far left films which paint America as bad or just have trully offensive plots, this film's concept was a welcomed one for me. I really wanted to like this movie, but it was just very poorly done. The timing and delivery of the jokes/gags were usually bad. Also, the use of children to deliver crude language really turns me off. There were some funny moments in spite of all of this, but overall this seemed like an extremely low budget and quickly thrown together film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Is a movie that the only message here is that war is a good answer for any problem!

I always said that all people that support troops should be in Irak or afganistan fighting there with the troops and not in US watching in TV how they fight for what they believe.
Anyway, this is my first review, and I will never recommend this movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I love how the movie trashes Michael Moore's career by making fun of how little money his movies made, because for conservatives, it's all about the money. Well now, why don't we have a little comparison chart? (all numbers courtesy of boxofficemojo, which charts box office figures)
An American Carol - $7 million dollars; production budget $20 million dollars. Net loss: $13 million.
Now let's look at the "unsuccessful socialist" Michael Moore's movies:
Fahrenheit 911 - $120 million domestic, $103 foreign = ~ $220 million gross. Production budget - $6 million.
Sicko - $24.5 million domestic, $9 million budget.
Bowling for Columbine - $22.5 million domestic, $36 million foreign. $4 million budgets.
The numbers don't lie. There's only one person laughing here, politics aside, and it's Michael Moore, all the way to the bank. American Carol is yet another conservative epic fail. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
