Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing it back for all of us to enjoy. The cast did outstanding work and the special features on the disk are well done. Sean Combs delivered a surprising performance and Audra McDonald matched his energy perfectly. And as expected, Phylicia Rashad and Sanaa Lathan performed effortlessly and flawlessly. Being a classic, this is the type of film that either shows the strength of an actor or the lack their of. All of the actor come thru strong. Two stand out though. One being; P Diddy. Sean Combs is on point here and he shows he has a future in acting. The second being Phylicia Rashad. GOODNESS, she brought down the house with her performance. I hope this will lead to more chance for us to see her on screen. All of the actors from John Stamos to Bill Nunn gave A+ work here. Kudos to Kenny Leon, the director. Read More This movie is my favorite play of all times! This version of the movie is better than the original yet brings great honor and tribute to the original movie version of 1961 with Sidney Poitier and Ruby Dee. Phylicia Rashad brought the house down with the level of acting that we are always used to from her. Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs showed the viewing audience that not only can he sing, but one fine actor. Sanaa Lathan took a break from those Scary Movie films to show that she is one powerhouse of dramatic acting. This movie is a must have for the private home DVD collection.
