Read More This was a real treat to see I enjoyed it. I am long time fan and watcher of the series from Showtime to SCI-FI channel and I belive it is the longest running series in science fiction ever. This movie picks up from the series not the original movie so if you have not been following series you may be a little lost with some of the new charcters and arch villians. The TV show was so well done, they don't have to do anything different to make it movie quality. There is a prelude to help those that have not seen the show. It is like a big-budget version of an episode. I loved the TV series and have been eagerly anticipating this movie since the series was cancelled. I thought they did a good job of wrapping up the loose ends that were left at the end of season 10. There are some really cool special effects. I also enjoyed the special features. Read More It takes up where the series left off and advances the story line further. Plus they have a prelude for people who haven't seen any of the later episodes of the series. SG1 was my favorite show and this is just a really long episode so I give it five stars but if you would give the series four stars you would probably give this movie four stars, and so on if you would give the series three stars... What i liked most is how they took some things we've always wondered about over the last 10 years and put them in the movie. LIke Samantha Carter as a woman with her hair down.
