Elle Fanning, like her older sister Dakota, shines with her acting skills. The movie is about the struggle of a young girl with OCD and Turrets Syndrome. The imagery is spectacular. The movie left me feeling a strong sense of hope and it moved me beyond belief. ( i found myself tearing up quite a few times) I think everyone should see this movie. I highly recommend it! Read More Parents might be tempted to look at this as a family film but the very real disorder this girl has is often a bit painful to watch. The film is good and deals with a family coming to realize the mental disorder of their daughter. I recommend it though with fine performances by Felicity Huffman and Elle Fanning. The always amazing Patricia Clarkson is mesmerizing as the drama teacher. I loved her! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It took you into this creative young girl's mind, and made you understand what was happening to her, even though she herself did not understand. Fanning's acting skills were off the charts, as were Patricia's. Very moving film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Very good performance by Elle Fanning as Phoebe, a child that suffers from tourette's and OCD who finds peace in playing the role of Alice (in Wonderland) for an understanding and wise drama teacher played so well by Patricial Clarkson. The story itself doesn't seem to quite know exactly what it wants to say or do, but over-all it's an enjoyable little film nicely directed by Daniel Barnz Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Adults unprovoked spew of profanity including the F word. Very slow story about child possessed of OCD, tourets and self mutilation. With suicidal tendencies all to attempt to guilt "God" and her mother in to everything she wants. The parents are at odds with each other in every other scene and the drama teacher validates modern acceptance of homosexual interests of a young boy because it was the norm of actors in the works of Shakespeare. I did not finish this trash to the end. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
