A story of a successful hollywood star living the over indulgent lifestyle, soon to being a washed up has-been. He learns of the death of a close childhood friend which impacts him to review his own life. Much of the movie is him looking back over his youth in England and the choices he made that take him to where he is today. Through this, he grows up and I thought it was well written and well acted. I would recommend it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

But I was disappointed. First off, during the opening credits, it shows a blurry scene of Craig in a threesome. This really wasn't necessary and caught me off guard. It wasn't the kind of thing you expect. I'm not a prude, but come on! Craig is only in the first and last half of the movie, and the entire middle is a depiction of his coming of age. I didn't like his character, as it depicted him as not growing up at all and being reckless and selfish his entire life. I would not watch this movie again. Rent if you are curious. Read More I loved this movie. If you are expecting to see Daniel Craig all the way through this movie you won't, as it flashes back to the past when his character was growing up, and how the early years leave scars that will haunt him for life. Its about making bad choices and lost love. A good thoughtful story and very well acted. I loved the British 80s feel of this movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This was a quality production, but a rather well-worn theme. Successful man living to excess faces his melancholy small town past and learns you can never go home again. Visuals and acting are excellent. Daniel Craig holds the screen like only a few actors can. Same with actor Harry Eden as Craig's character in his teens. It plays out like a juicy TV novella with a plump budget. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Daniel Craig was great as a man who has become a selfish actor in Hollywood hooked on drugs and women. He goes home to his native England after his friend's death, and begins to see his life as it really is for the first time in years. It is a good deep thinking movie about life and our choices.
I would recommend it. It is not for children. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
