What caught me off guard is how quickly it went stale. The writers probably thought the gladiator thing is SO GAY it would make a really funny movie. The problem is they relied too much on over-used gay jokes. And they threw in a very big pile of childish potty-humor that made the actors look like morons. It was very much hit-and-miss all the way. The funniest bits were big Ken Davitian playing Xerxes. He had some good lines and he dead-panned them like a real pro. He knew exactly how to play it. Read More I love spoof movies, so I was looking foward to "Meet the Spartans" boy was this a load of cr@p. It was pratically a hour and a half commercial as there were spots for Budwiser, red bull, Detyne ice, etc. It spoofed way too many reality/game shows (American Idol, America's Next top model. Dancing with the Stars and deal or No deal), the plot was pointless. Sure it was a spoof of one of the best movies last year (300) but there were just too many bad scenes. 19 out of 29 people found this review helpful This is easily the worst movie I have ever seen, in any category. I was expecting to see a good comedy. There are barely 4 or 5 good jokes in its entire 80 minutes. Don't waste your time seeing this turkey. The only good thing about seeing this piece of .... is that I was able to see it for free. Regardless, it was so bad, it made me wince. I was waiting for it to end. If you want to see a good comedy, rent Scary Movie 1. It's funny all the way through.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Since then spoof movies have gone downhill (except the ... Read More I went into this movie expecting it to be stupid, but good fun humor. I love spoof movies like Scary movie 1 & 2, and Not another teen movie. Since then spoof movies have gone downhill (except the Comebacks was okay). Epic Movie, Date Movie, Scary movie 3 & 4. The gags just get really lame (okay here comes another homosexual joke or barf/feces scene), the pop culture references sadly were only funny while the movie was in theatres, by rental time it's old (paris in prison, britney shaving her head, leave britney alone youtube video, sanjaya..i mean that was a long time ago..not new and therefore not funny anymore. Bottomline is..if you're looking for an hour and a half to waste...waste it something better...this movie failed at being a stupid movie...and that's just sad.

Oh, and in a parody movie, you'd think there couldn't possibly be any bad acting..........wrong........Carmen Elektra actually stinks up this terrible movie more.
