This was just Ok, it was just another example of movie makers taking a Great movie and adding a subpar sequal/prequal. Nice to rent but don't buy. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I LOVE the little mermaid...the FIRST one and the one where Ariel has her daughter...but this installment I was bored with! :( sorry, but that's just my opinion! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreThis is not so much a review of the movie as it is a complaint about the soundtrack on the disc I watched--the soundtrack kept going up and down in volume so dramatically, that I had to keep adjusting the volume controls on my tv; this proved to be very annoying and took away from my enjoyment of the movie. Read MoreI really enjoyed this film, I had watched the 1st one to death where I almost knew the dialogue by heart and the songs too! I always wondered why Ariel's father was alone and if she had siblings. Has anyone quessed or suspicious about the "former babysitter"? Is she the one who becomes the evil arch enemy latter on? The hint I found was her electric eel pets. Also the fact that she resembles their nemisis. i love Ariel 's Beginning.... Very interesting to see her past ...
however it's also very sad... im not going to tell u the said part -- gottta watch it for urself

My girls absolutely loved this movie. They were a bit sad at the beginning, but now they understand why the king loathes humans so much. I purchased this movie the same day I returned it. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
