For full effect, watch it at night with absolutely no light on in the room in which you are watching the movie. This allows for the sensation of using the sounds to make judgements, just like the blind main character. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This was a very well made film. Of course, you have to take into consideration that it's 40 years old, so the technology wasn't great and some of the references were dated, but otherwise this was a fantastic film. Audrey Hepburn was very believable as a blind person while Alan Arkin was perfectly cast as the bad guy. There were some slow moments, but overall it was fast-paced and the ending was very intgense. I recommend this one to anyone! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Yes it is old. If you are looking for current movies, don't rent one from 1967. I have always loved Audrey hepburn. Terence Young does an excellent job with the filming of this movie. It is shot where it somewhat dark. I feel you can relate to Audrey's character. You know she will get through, but how is the question. Will the little girl help? Watch it, you will enjoy it. Read More A pleasant surprise for an old suspense movie, the acting is amazing and there is a very special shock moment at the end. The story goes is that there is the man who takes this doll without knowing there is a large amount of drugs in there. A couple of guys trick the mans wife who is blind thinking there are an old friends or cops which they aren't. The scary part is that knowing these guys are fake but the main characters has no clue they are going to kill her after they find the doll. It's a mad search for the doll and anything can happen. Check this out for an oldie classic. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Although the performances by Hepburn and Alda are truly amazing - it's the plot holes that I couldn't get past in this thriller. Still suspenseful and a groundbreaking film...but why would otherwise violent criminals go through such theatrical hoops to get hold of the doll? Worth the rent, but realize that the film is dated. The movie on the whole was just so-so for me EXCEPT for the WONDERFUL performance by Alan Arkin. The movie is 40 yrs old and thought to be a classic by many - but for me the best thing about this old classic - the only truly exempler thing about it - was him.
