Read More Not a sequel, as I have seen in some descriptions of the film, but a condensed remake of the first 3 original Friday films. Some new features in the film, the underground lair is the best example, are an interesting twist on a classic story. Still, the film suffers from a way too long midsection and too many annoying characters (Travis Van Winkle's character comes to mind instantly) that take too long to meet their maker via the business end of Jason's machete. Watch the original instead. It still holds up. And will no one else in Hollywood remake another 80's slasher flick, please. Unless, that person is Rob Zombie. Then it's cool. Some things were different. It was more interesting, plus the actors were better than the original. The only thing I would have done different, was added more scenes that make you jump. Read More Ok first off if i had not seen the original this would not be a bad movie there was just the right amount of sex scenes and nudity for a jason flick. The blood and guts could of been better but what disapoints me is that anyone one who has seen the original knows jason was dead he came back from the dead jason never ran!!!!!! he just appeared thats what he did the guy wasn't bad but i was very dissapointed in jason shooting an arrow through the guys head i mean what the heck so disapointing. This Remake version i will admit had better special effects but the story line and acting was just horrible, to try and make things more realistic the characters should have been smarter, the killings they got were well much deserved because of how TARD these characters were made out to be.
