This is basicly a wonderful phillisophical/scientific discussion. simular to one you would have with your friends. (atleast if that is what you do with your friends. Other wise this is not for you) It had twist, and turns, it really played off the dynamic of a group of people that were interesting, and powerful.

This movie is not so much Sci-Fi, but more of an intellictual event. There are a few slow spots, but there are many areas that will pique your interest and keep you engaged. I would presume religious zealots may have an issue with some of the content, but if you keep your mind open, there are many things to learn and to enjoy all the way to the end.

There was zero action in this movie, almost no movement. It was a discussion among teachers and scholars in a cabin about the possibility of a 14,000-year-old cromagnon/cave man living to the present without aging. Some of the theories presented and discussed were very intriguing, but for this movie to have been successful, rather than just talking about what a caveman would be like, the filmmakers needed to take the audience on location to the time periods and places that were talked about and emphasized and show what this man looked like and what he did throughout his time from beginning to end. Otherwise, this is nothing more than storytelling around a campfire and the director or producers have no business in the movie-making industry. The entire point of a movie is to show things that that you otherwise would only imagine. A movie with no action is like a book except that the book is produced at a fraction of the cost.

Interesting but a bit claustrophobic and talky. Clever story and excellent as a character study. For the most part it's well acted. Thought provoking but I didn't find it particularly memorable.

This movie has relatively no action, or humor in it. It's a story about a man who must say good-bye to all his friends as he moves on with his life. He entrusts them with a dark secret, which is the basis of the entire movie. It will make you think, and does a great job with taking you on a philisophical journey. The unimaginable actually seems plausible as the secret is unfolded, and it will leave you with many things to think about. I must warn you that the acting is not top notch, but the idea behind it is wonderful.

Promising movie, with an intriguing premise, and a message (i.e. as any educated person knows, organized religion is bunk). But you'll only enjoy it if you had a liberal arts education. The premise "what would it be like to be a 14000 year old man" was beautifully set up: The point of view of one person in history, knowing only what he personally saw and experienced... and immediately broken to make our hero the Forrest Gump of religious history. Totally unnecessary for the premise, but critical to be authoritative on the message. The premise "keep a low profile and be constantly on the move to prevent discovery" broken so our hero can become one of the major players in the New Testament. And the final revelation, that our hero is a love'm & leave'm deadbeat dad of "historic" proportions, was the last straw for a movie that sacrificed everything to the idea that organized religion is bunk and the only thing that matters is how you treat each other.

The idea was great, but as the movie continued, the dialog become increasingly illogic. The premise was simple, get a bunch of smart people in a room, throw in a main character who claims to be Christ, and refute the claims of Christianity. Each of the "smart" people immediately accept the claims by the man with just one objection. Too bad, the movie could've done much better.

The movie might have been interesting with flashbacks or sequences where characters actually DO anything but dialog, but no, it's one big long conversation. The situation gets stale and about 20 minutes in, the actors are struggling to breathe life into the script, but it looks like struggling with a bad script rather than good acting. The set consists of one room, which the characters change their places in frequently because it's the only visual variety available. As to the topic of conversation, it might be interesting for 20, 30, or even 40 minutes, but not entire feature length film. I love science fiction, and am not opposed to a movie that wants the viewer to do a lot of thinking, but the script of this film was pretty bad. It's the sort of thing that sounds interesting until you think about it a little harder. I did not find myself intellectually challenged by this film, and if that doesn't happen, then it cannot overcome its other staggering defects.
