An excellent script, well acted. The production value on this indie project is low, but does not get in the way of the amazing story. There's not much action, but the ideas of the film hold your attention easily. If you like My Dinner with Andre and other dialog driven films, you'll love this one! Unlike most sci-fi coming out these days, where the barest elements of story are lost amidst a sea of special effects, this concentrates on the thought-provoking story and how it effects the characters involved. Quiet, layered performances, yes. We were ... Read More Wonderfully written. Reminded me of the Twilight Zone, which Jerome Bixby wrote for, of course! Some reviews have called the acting wooden. Not so. Quiet, layered performances, yes. We were riveted the whole time. It's hopeless- now I have to buy it. Thank goodness for podcasts like Slice of Scifi, or I would never have heard of it! If you just need a good story without bombast, go for this one. Invite a bunch of friends to watch it with you, because you'll want to discuss this one after. The premise wasn't lost on some big bang special effects. There can be much controversy and better yet dialog amongst the viewer once the movie is over. Read More I enjoyed the film, "My Dinner With Andre", and was prepared to enjoy this film as well, thinking it would be a stimulating hypothetical premise for discussion, however, the acting was stiff and unbelievable. The College Professors seemed one dimensional and immature in their sarcastic handling of the NEWS delivered to them by one of their former collegues. This movie was more reminiscent of another poorly written and acted film, "The Celestine Prophecy."
I have to admit to turning it off sometime in the middle. I think it could have been interesting but the amaturish staging and acting as well as the screenplay doused all interest for me. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

If you are going to make a sci-fi movie then you should pick a topic that isn't true instead of trying to explain the existence of mankind and tearing down the bible. I understand that it is a work of fiction but the bible is non-fiction and has been proven to be a true record. If you just MUST rent it then try watching it with the FF button. There are some interesting parts but as a whole this movie probably could have been 23 minutes long.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
