If you're not from the south or haven't been exposed to accents of southern origin you might have problems but this is one compelling piece of film and I think most people who enjoy indy/documentary films will get into this with no problem. I grew in Vernon, and can tell you that a majority of what you see in town has not changed. I know both Shipes and his turkey hunting buddy, we called him "snake". While not for everyone, it will leave you thinking my god!!! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More i knew these folks, or at least their counterparts, in my small town in Mississippi. to see them and hear them on film really cracks me up. my favorite character (and this was hard because they are all characters) is the guy that is trying to convince me that what he is holding is a gopher, not a turtle...his motor is just "slow paced." Read More If you like interesting stuff and you have interesting friends and an open mind... sit back for an hour and check this film out. I found myself revisiting certain parts of this movie over an over again as I called my wife in to "watch this". The more I watched, the more I laughed. If you like to observe human behavior, this film is for you! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The turkey hunter is somewhat interesting to listen to. It's rare to see anyone who has a passion for anything these days. Passion may not be a strong enough word to describe how he feels about turkey hunting.
He should have done a documentary about the dismemberment for profit. It would have been better then this.
Two stars for the turkey hunter. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It was terribly boring and the diaglog wasn't related to anything that supported the movie. I'm terribly disappointed. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
