I think Ed Harris is a great actor but he may want to leave the directing to someone else.
Oh well, maybe they can remake this movie with the same actors but have Clint Eastwood direct. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Great acting like always from these two. Western movies tend to have the same ending with girls, I just wish they'd be like thrillers. Your heart races before every action scene, that's what I love. If this movie had the same basic story, but more suspence, I pry would have rated it higher. I wouldn't tell my friends it's a "have to see" but it's okay. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More The interplay between Mortensen & Harris is excellent. When all is said and done, its the story of the love of a worthy man for an unworthy woman, who doesn't know her own mind/heart half as well as his best friend. All the principles--Irons, Henriksen, Zellwegger--are great. Ed Harris makes a surprisingly good director and songwriter (the ballad at the end of the credits). The scene where he keeps shooting his six shooters into the ground in order to go from the ground to the second floor of a building, reminded me of a cartoon. Come to think of it the Ed Harris character kind of reminds me of Yosemite Sam. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
