Rutger Hauer plays a blinded Vietnam vet who also happens to be an expert swordsman. Twenty years after the war, Hauer finds himself waist-deep in gangsters when he tries to help the son (Brandon Call) of an old army buddy. Along the way, he reforms an ex-comrade in arms (Terrance O'Quinn) who was responsible for the accident that blinded him. Blind Fury is a great example of 80's action fun. Rutger plays a Vietnam vet who lost his sight in the war. However, he ways taught martial arts and the sword by the Vietnamese villagers. Apparently he is so amazing, that he no lnger even needs sight! Well, Rutger's old war buddy get in trouble and basically, Hauer spend the whole movie kung-fuing rednecks and protecting a sassy ten year old with a mullet. If that sentence doesn't get your mouth watering, then this movie is not for you. But if you love great 80's action and Rutget Hauer, then don't miss this one. It's truly a gem.

I liked the film. Rutger did a good job on this role. Some of his fellow actors phoned it in, but over all it is a good movie. The action was great and was filmed well.

One of the best in 80's action. The ultimate action hero is blind with a big heart. A must see if your into a heart warming story of a boy who's lost his Mom and the blind man that must save his Dad.

Blind Fury is one of Rutger Hauer better action movies. Being an avid martial arts buff, I really enjoyed it. If you like this movie, you will like him in Wanted: Dead or Alive (1986 film).

I have to hand it to Rutger Hauer, he really makes you believe that he's blind. Even when they show earlier clips of when he has sight; they come later to the present day and he really gives the impression that he's blind. Not too many actors can pull that off. He did a great job and I love the sword fight at the end. Very Cool!!

Rutger Hauer does a good job at acting blind in this movie. I have seen other movies where the actors do a terrible job of acting blind but he plays it off real good. The action is good but certain scenes have him wearing a poor toupe.

it was better the first time around when i saw it yrs ago now it just looks like another low budget moviebut ok if u cant think o f anything elese to rent if u can hadle low low budget n i mean low low low budget
