This movie was nothing but cliche after cliche after cliche. I thought about listing the cliches in order, but then I'd be giving away the entire film. You've seen this movie a hundred times before. As for the fight scenes being well done, it's just not enough. I can go watch an MMA match and see the same technique applied for real. The script is just cut and paste from other Teen Redemption films, which is essentially what this is. Good guy wants girl, girl is dating bad guy, they fight, the end. There's a mentor and a friend in there also, but I'm betting you can figure out the mentor's message and what happens between the bad guy and the good guy's friend. It's just so very redundant and boring. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

A very nicely acted movie, very entertaining to watch. Everybody will know how Never Back Down will end, but you will have fun watching all the same. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I really got this movie for my husband who is into this kinda stuff - I still watched it and thought is was ok. The actor who played the "teacher" was very good. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This film does a very poor job at attempting to duplicate The Karate Kid using the backdrop of Mixed Martial Arts. The characters were not interesting and the acting was completely one dimensional. It's The Hills with some punches and arm bars thrown in. If you need an MMA fix, rent Red Belt. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
