This was a sweet movie of first love between two boys and how religious views can destroy it. I grew up in a Christian home, so I was able to identify with the main characters torture about his sexuality. The freedom of his neighbor's sexuality is in start contrast to his own. The movie shows that while love doesn't always have a happy ending, it can be a great healing influence.

There's nothing in this film that hasn't already been done better. Nonetheless, it's worthwhile. Most of the actors did justice to their parts and the story is nice enough. The only heavy criticism goes to the music, which was clumsy and overused throughout.

This would have been a great 18 minute short film. The rest of the time I thought I was watching a travel video about the coast of Northern California. This musical interlude has a few scenes with plot dropped in occasionally. The musical time could have easily been filled with conversations, instead of longing looks, and a little character development.
