You never can tell about the made for tv movies, but this one is worth a watch. The characters were very endearing and the storyline is good. Very good Christmas flick.

Some of the worst acting I've seen...ever. This was super cheeseball...and I was looking for a chic flic. Skip it

This was a very enjoyable love story. It is pretty predictable, but got all thumbs up from the girls of our family. Good old-fashioned love story.

Yes, it is predictable, sentimental and emotional. Definately what most people call a "chick flick". I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it for everyone though. I hope they would replay it on TV again between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is the type of movie to remind us of compassion and "giving" from the heart. It has several different "positive" messages in it. It's nice to watch a movie that you enjoy and feel good inside about after it's over. Great for children also.

This is truly a chick flick, but a feel good one. The main character is a hot military man who is burned out a bit, then gets a Christmas Card. It is a little hooky in some parts and the writing is predictable, but worh the watch to feel good about it. Everything seem so negative about the Iraq/Afgan war, this is something positive.

It's not a fairy tale story or uncommon that Nevada County is actually a place where friends and family welcome you with open arms, and how kind strangers go out of their way for you--and NOT just because its Christmas! I am always a fan of good old-fashioned love stories and thought this was not only a great representation of showing the best of people's human spirit and generosity, but it reminded me of what I love about coming home to our small town community. If you get a chance to visit Grass Valley or Nevada City during the holidays, I'm sure you'll come appreciate how movies like this can illuminate the good in the world even when war is unfortunately part of our reality.

Anyone who didn't know better watching this movie would be led to believe that all military guys are these chivalrous, moral, ethical gentleman. Being someone who has seen all aspects of military life, I have to say that this movie was pure right wing propaganda. Seriously people, there is a reason that military families have a 70-90% domestic violence rate! Not only was this movie cheese ball, it was so poorly acted by the lead woman that I just couldn't even like her character. The guy was okay. I am always on the look-out for a nice romantic, wholesome (not religious) movie to snuggle up with my daughter and watch. This one just does not fit that expectation or hope.
