My entire family, including children from 11-18, all loved this film. It was like a modern fairy tale, but if you took the time to watch the extras on the DVD, you will learn that something similar has happened in the lives of our military men. I think our world has come to the point that most people don't think they can enjoy movies without bad language, sexuality, and graphic violence. Why would someone say this is only good for a chick flick? My husband enjoys a classic movie like this one, just as much as I do. The actors/actresses were great. Some of them have been or are currently on hit television programs. I enjoy movies where the acting is very lifelike and not so dramatized it doesn't feel like it could be for real. This is a movie that my family will purchase in the near future. You will not be disappointed in this movie! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
3 out of 4 people found this review helpful This movie is a little cheesy with some not-so-great acting, but overall a nice story line. There are some "choppy"-- "insert commercial here" --parts that make it obvious that it was a made for TV movie. It IS a nice story, with a leading man most women will fall in love with--definatley a "chick flick"!!WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Overall though, we liked it. He didn't like it as much as me. He was bored through some of it and thought it was silly.
I think it is a nice movie when you have the time. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I tried to watch this movie, but that's tough to do when you keep rolling your eyes. Looks like a nice family movie for the Christmas holiday, and that's all well and good if your family doesn't mind watching another cheesy and predictable film. The characters were smiling at everything, holding hands, singing hymns, and loving each other throughout the entire movie. Ugh! Personally, I don't mind lovey dovey, but this was just done to an extreme, and it made me wonder why this wasn't just made into an animated fairy tale for children because that's actually what this movie really is (minus the one war scene in the beginning). Family movies are great, but NO families are perfect like those depicted here. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
