Trick or Treat (1986)
Member Rating:
Character actor Charles Martin Smith directed this quirky horror film about a dead rock star who wreaks vengeance on a small town. When a rock musician is banned from performing at a high school Halloween dance and ends up perishing in a hotel fire, he vows vengeance on the town and comes back from beyond the grave to obliterate the population. He does this through one of his most rabid fans, the nerdy Eddie Weinbauer (Marc Price), a high school outsider. He is such a fan that he plays the rock star's final album "Songs in the Key of Death" in reverse, looking for instructions on how to live his life. The rock star willingly obliges Eddie with helpful hints and soon Eddie is able to face down the high school bullies and gain the attention of an attractive girl. But soon Eddie begins to suspect that the ghost is using him. With the ghost intent on destroying the town, Eddie uses his newfound self-confidence to stand up to the ghost and save the town from destruction. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

Trick or Treat was better than what I thought it would be. This is not a scary movie at all....but the story is real interesting! If you're into the 80s and were/still are into Metal....you might like it! It's Cool!

I have this one in my collection as well, you will never guess who Ozzy plays in this movie. I liked Gene Simmons character as well. Try it.

This movie is a cult classic. You just have to have that knac for 80s metal and a good ol fashioned cheesy horror flick. I love this movie!! Best part is the soundtrack was done by Fastway who is fronted by a young Dave King (Flogging Molly fame) Pete Way (UFO) and Fast Eddie Clark(MotorHead). Very Underrated band. CHECK EM OUT!!!

I love how this film has ozzy and gene simmons on the cover even though they have a collected on screen time of about 3 minutes...lame-o. I was expecting this movie to be absoutly horrible, i was counting on that auctually. but it really wasnt as terrible as i was expecting. doug savant of melrose and desperate housewives fame is in this as the bully. He was the best thing in this, really strong. The music was halarious 80's hair metal woot woot!! If samy was really the devil, im thinking he wouldnt dance like a showgirl and play music by brett michels. hehe, this was really great for a laugh, i would recommend it for any 80's or music fan.

I was really looking forward to watching this movie. I really thought that it would be so ME. I mean, it''s from the 80's; it's a campy slasher flick; and it's about a metalhead!! However, it just really didn't do anything for me. Just kind of blah. Nothing really exciting here.
