This film has to be one of the best Science Fiction movies ever filmed. Set in a future LA where global warming has arrived and the future is very dark. Just get this film out and watch it.

Somehow I never got around to seeing this movie until it was 22 years old. It turns out to be better than 95% of the movies I've seen in those 22 years. The script, acting, visuals and special effects are tops. It isn't at all outdated as one might think. Great cast.

This is one of the best Sci Fi movies ever made. No utopian society here. A dark morbid earthly future. The screenplay was so well written if you read the Philip K Dick novel after you will be dissapointed that it's not as good as the movie! How often does that happen? You have to see the directors cut though. It's a different film. I own this movie and must have seen it 30 times. A classic movie that gave a new look and set a new standard for Sci Fi.

I saw Blade Runner when it was new and after seeing it every year or so since it is still just as great. If you don't pay attention or miss a few things the next time you watch it will make it an even better movie. Actually, each time I have watched it I always catch something I didn't notice or remember seeing before. As I have changed so has my perception of the movie making it always thought provoking and interesting. I don't always care for movies that have a lot of scenes filmed under low light conditions but this movie is an exception for sure. The scenes details weren't being hidden by the poor lighting but enhanced by it. This is Classic Sci-Fi without a doubt!

People who compared this film to starwars and 80's are probably not the bightest film critic in the world, but don't let them fool you, this is one of the top 10 greatest film ever made. This is where Ridley Scott made his mark; remarkable visuals, unforgettable soundtrack by 'Vengelis'; this film is the benchmark of all cyberpunk film. If you haven't seen it, see it twice, if you already have seen it, prey that they make a digital re-master version with DVD specials in the future.

I remember going to see this several times when it came out in 1982. It is one of those few films that are better than the book (do sheep dream...)I do not like the director's cut as well as the original because the narrative by Harrison Ford's character is left out in the director's cut. I have never been able to find the original version with the narrative on VHS or DVD the only version out there is this one but it is still worth watching.

This is very cool. It's dated, but still fun. The artificial intelligence stuff is always interesting. The questions of what makes us human and what defines life are played out well. The decaying civilization and cyber-ghettos are cool. The effects are all detailed pre-computer models, makeup, and animation. Put it on the list of classics that includes Godfather, Train Spotting, Pulp Fiction, and so on. I still don't know why Deckard does some of the things he does. Or who is real.

What can one say about Blade Runner that has not already been said ten times over and twice as good. This movie was and still is one of my top choices of movies. Some feel that with the passage of time, this movie has become dated and not as good but I do not agree. Although Blade runner does move slow sometimes, it is a great movie none the less and the cinematography stand true even with today’s standards. Could it be made better today? Maybe and possibly many of the younger viewers would like it and not consider it boring. I don't want the many washed up hack jobs in Hollywood to remake this like they are doing to so many of our past favorites because they can't find a good script anymore! Don't get me wrong, some of the remakes such as The Longest Yard & The Thomas Crown Affair were just as good if not better than the original. But I digress...simply put, Blade Runner is a classic.
