Read More This movie is a classic for sure.--- When have you ever had 2 phenomenal actors such as Steve McQueen and Paul Newman share the silverscreen together as heros, from 2 different perspectives?--- This movie is epically long and is full of well recognized actors and actresses. Faye Dunaway is beautiful in this movie. Fred Astaire sets off a little light with his part... he even gives us a 2 step shuffle, although very brief. O.J. Simpson is scattered throughout. There is just too much to name here.--- This movie is worth 4 stars because it has a plethora of well-known actors and actresses. Heck, the film was filmed in San Francisco and has half the known cast from another Steve McQueen classic "Bullitt".--- Tragically though, the film is a foreshadowing of how intense and difficult the rescue effort was on 9/11 and the final words of Steve McQueen in this particular movie backs this statement.--- A must rent for sure! A damn fine movie for sure! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

We lost a good actor when we lost Steve McQueen all his movies are great. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

were real. This for them at the same time was practice trainning for them, and at the same time the movie comp. got extra
cast members that had to be their for the supervision on a controlled fire. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The incredible cast of huge stars is a plus. I never found the film very convincing though, and it is way overlong which causes some slow stretches. The big budget for the film is evident and the special effects are still good. Entertaining. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Along with The Poseidon Adventure and Earthquake this is a classic 1970's disaster flick. The all star cast works well together in this Irwin Allen production. I saw this picture when it first came out in 1974, and it still has all the impact now that it had back then. Highly recommended for those who like this genre of film.
