Read Morewith a fine supporting cast that included academy award winner Jessica Lange and even Bill Murray, whose comedic talents fit this movie well. When you consider the range of acting that Hoffman was called upon to do, and the deftness in which he pulled it off, you'll appreciate this fine performance as well. It ranks right up there with "Rain Man," for which I gave him an Academy Award in 10 minutes of viewing, and Kramer vs. Kramer. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This is one of the best comedies of all time. Hoffman and Lange at their best. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Of course this is a great movie, but be warned Blockbuster is shipping out the old barebones edition and not the new anniversary edition they are claiming to. I went through three before I gave up. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreI had been meaning to see this film for some time, and I finally got around to it, when I began reading a book about screenwriting, since it was constantly cited as an excellent example of a good screenplay. Besides the lame 80's comedy score, I thought that Tootsie was indeed a good film, which included a great cast, many delightfully flawed characters, and some clever situational humor. However, my puzzlement as to why it is frequently listed among the top 100 films of ALL TIME remains. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Dustin Hoffman is a favorite of mine and he did his best to make this a funny movie - could be better. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I really don't know what people like about this film. It isn't that funny to me. If I want to watch guys in drag, I'd watch Monty Python. That's funny. This is a waste of Dustin Hoffman. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

A pathetic BORE - which was NOT funny nor cute, as Hoffman clearly is reaching for here. Just a complete JOKE of a movie - that is about as believable as Professional Wrestling... WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
