This movie has EVERYTHING from action, adventure, romance, comedy and even thriller. We laughed, we cried we were at the edge of our seats. We took our 3 year old to see this as her first movie and even our autistic 6 year old loved it. I think it is the best animated movie ever!

This entire movie is about loss. The old man looses his wife, the boy has lost, for all intents and purposes, his father. The old man looses his hero, who turns into a villian. I thought I was going to watch an upbeat family movie such as Finding Nemo, but I would not even let young children see this movie.

In my opinion (though HUMBLE), this will become a classic! Silly, yes, but a great movie to use for discussions about LIFE! Would be good for whole families, but there are so many thought provoking scenes that a group could talk about for hours! My 75 year old neighbor LOVED IT! I'm recommending it to all my friends and I may end up buying it.

The movie looked good, but I could not hear most of the dialogue, given that I am hearing impaired and that this movie did not have closed captioning. It seems quite ridiculous that a studio would even make a movie nowadays without closed captioning. I haven't encountered this ever before.

To sum it up my girls age 9 and 7 left this movie crying. They hated that the dogs were hurting Doug. The bird being in trouble and the people possibly dying from falling had them very very upset. My children were not the only ones in the theater crying. I was very disapointed in this movie.

Our family has always enjoyed to greatly enjoyed Disney Pixar films however “Up” is the exception. The beginning depicts two friends meeting and becoming soul mates as they grow old together with mediocre and overall boring life only for the wife to die. It proceeds to show a grumpy old man go on to live without her. Furthermore we cannot recall a single Pixar movie where we didn’t repeatedly laugh and this movie we never laughed “once!” Ultimately everyone left asking, “so what did you think of this movie?!” …and the replies were all the same – wish we didn’t waste the money but the 3D was cool!
